Winning Chapter Awards of Excellence Submissions Available for Reference

The Chapter Awards of Excellence recognize chapters in the categories of Advocacy; Education; USGBC as a Community; and Organizational Excellence. In completing your chapter's application, you are welcome to reference winning submissions from years past. You can reference the archive on the Extranet here. (This is the first year for the Chapter Leader Awards of Excellence, so similar history is not available for this competition.) Submissions are due Aug. 31, 2010 by 11:59 p.m. EDT. Contact Eli Reisman with any questions.

Support Haiti Through Joint Design Fellowship

USGBC and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) are supporting an Architecture for Humanity Sustainable Design Fellow, who will help facilitate the rebuilding of the infrastructure that was demolished in Haiti's earthquake. The qualified design professional selected will make a two-year commitment to work directly with community members on the ground in Architecture for Humanity's Rebuilding Center, based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. You're welcome to advertise this opportunity to your chapter members. To view the press release and learn how to apply, click here.
