Manchester Community College Tour and Airflow Measurement Seminar

Thursday March 14th, Granite State ASHRAE will be meeting at the Manchester Community College to have a tour of their Advanced Technologies Building, and followed by a seminar on Airflow Measurement. The tour will be conducted by Gilbert Biron, Program Coordinator Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. Gil will be showing the systems used at this facility, and describe their program to teach students HVAC fundamentals. To participate in the tour, please meet Gil at the Manchester Community College Advanced Technologies Building, located on their campus at 1066 Front Street, Manchester. The Advanced Technology Building is the first building on the left as you enter the campus. Please park in the adjacent lot and Gil will be waiting in the lobby.

Following the tour, meet at the Puritan Restaurant in Manchester for dinner followed by a seminar by Jim Riendeau on Airflow Measurement. As buildings continue to tighten up, the issue of proper airflow becomes a key issue for human health and comfort. In this seminar, Jim will describe how airflow monitors improve building control, aid in meeting green building programs like LEED, and prove compliance to building codes and ASHRAE standards. Attendees to this seminar will receive 1 PDH credit for attending this seminar.

Jim Riendeau is the Vce President of ESC Inc. Jim has over 30 years of HVAC experience in roles ranging from Vice President of ESC / EBTRON, Regional Sales Manager for York & McQuay to Strategic & National Account Manager for York and Trane. Jim’s role as a Vice President for ESC is to educate the HVAC market on how airflow monitors improve building control, aid in meeting green building programs like LEED, and prove compliance to building codes and ASHRAE standards. Jim has his MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan Collage in New York
