Tour the new AVA 3D Studio where artists and students will work in metal, wood, glass and stone. This is AVA's second LEED project (with the neighboring Gallery and Studios building having achieved LEED Gold in November of 2008.) The new project, expected to achieve LEED Gold using v4, includes 18" Thermomass walls, SIPS roof, great daylighting, and a green roof garden and is expected to also achieve Net-Zero Energy. We'll hear from the owner, design and construction team and learn about the challenges of some of the new LEED credits.
This tour is no cost to members, and $20 for non-members. Certiciates will be given out for 1 hour GBCI continuing education.
